A little bit about me

Sagari Govindraj Nayak

A teacher at heart, long before I actually became one, and still a teacher even though I am not one any longer. In short I feel the need to change the world even though that seems like an impossible task. So here I am, trying to do just that, with my little observations on life.

I have zero & I mean zero tolerance for racism , homophobia , Islamophobia & basically any kind of hatred or prejudice. This forces me to press the delete button on people who demonstrate the above and who can’t be reasoned with. I am passionate about equality, free speech, democracy and education amongst other things. I try to speak up and stand up for what I believe in, which to be honest doesn’t always end well or sit well, but that’s ok with me.

As you might have guessed my circle of friends is rather small, but I’ve always had a million books to keep me company. Life to me is all about the stories. I never get tired of people’s stories. I lose myself and find myself in these stories.

Atheism is my centre, my soul, my heart and my identity. Of all the many things I have in my life, this is the one I am most grateful for.
I’m a feminist, an introvert, a traveller, a yoga enthusiast and perhaps now a writer.
